Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dispatch, a mobile application developed and operated by Rootcause, LLC (“Dispatch,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Dispatch mobile application (the “App”).

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.



1. Scope of Agreement

These Terms apply to your use of the App on iOS devices and related services provided in connection with the App, including AI-powered features.



2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in jurisdictions where required) to use the App.
  • By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.


3. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on iOS devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the App.
  • Rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the App to others.
  • Use the App in violation of applicable law.


4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes.
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the App’s operation, servers, or networks.
  • Be responsible for all activity under your device or account (if applicable).
  • Ensure any information you provide (e.g., AI prompts, feedback) does not violate the rights of others.


5. AI Features

  • Dispatch provides optional AI-powered features through OpenAI.
  • By using AI features, you consent to transmission of your prompts and related metadata to our servers and OpenAI for processing.
  • AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are solely responsible for how you use AI outputs.


6. In-App Purchases

  • Premium features may be offered via in-app purchases through Apple.
  • All payments are processed by Apple under their terms; we do not receive your full payment details.
  • Purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by law or Apple’s policies.


7. Intellectual Property

  • The App, including all software, logos, trademarks, and content, is owned by Rootcause, LLC or its licensors.
  • Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of intellectual property to you.


8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.



9. Disclaimers

  • The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
  • AI outputs are not professional advice and should not be relied upon as such.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the greater of:

(a) the amount you paid (if any) for use of the App in the 12 months preceding the claim; or

(b) $50 USD.



11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rootcause, LLC, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.



12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or use the App unlawfully. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.



13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.



14. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, USA, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
  • Where required by law, you may also have rights to alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.


15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (e.g., in-app). Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Apple App Store Terms

Because the App is distributed via the Apple App Store:

  • These Terms are between you and Rootcause, LLC, not Apple.
  • Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide support, maintenance, or refunds (beyond its own policies).
  • You acknowledge Apple’s rights as a third-party beneficiary to these Terms.
